Mr. Mihira Liyanarachchi joined SLTB in 1996 and since then has had a remarkable career within the organization. Before being appointed as Director Human Resources and Premises Management in August 2008, he was actively working as the Director Internal Audit and Finance . |
An old boy of Nalanda College- Colombo, he holds a Degree in Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Diploma in Human Resources from SLIDA. Further, apart from being a visiting lecturer in the technical college, he is a professional fellow member of the Association of Accountant Technicians [AAT], associated member of the Institute of Public Accounts, and acts as an examiner for professional exams in accounting subjects.
The HR division is responsible of all aspects of HR at SLTB which includes recruitment and selection, familiarization programmes and HR administration to name a few. Needless to mention, the HR department is continuously active in Personnel Management conducting training programmes in-house as well as out-side the organization with the aim of providing better career paths for individuals and developing a strong workforce skilled enough to contribute towards the development of the tourism sector.
Mr. Mihira believes from the bottom of his heart that every individual in the organization should be guided towards development regardless of their level or position in order to achieve the overall organizational objectives and his supportive staff of 22 members agrees.
Moreover, the HR department is also undertaking Premises Management of the organization.
